BLC Managers (BLCM) responsibilities include managing the sales activity and staffing of the Banking Loan Consultant (BLC) role. BLCMs are the primary contact for the Financial Centers that they support; provide management oversight of BLC production in terms of quality and profitability and they promote cross sell as designated by the Financial Center Manager. The BLCMs oversee the sales activities of assigned locations by ensuring defined store goals are met; assisting in establishing location’s goals and objectives; guaranteeing lending policies and procedures are uniformly implemented; reviewing and understanding policies and procedures periodically and enforcing appropriately. BLCMs also participate in internal/external marketing functions to foster sales and promote WaMu’s role in the community. They also participate in the billing, budgeting, and viability of marketing events. BLCMs provide Sales Leadership by conducting and monitoring field training and overseeing programs which focus on Sales Leadership for staff; assist and coach staff in sales training programs and accompany staff on sales calls and territory development; and motivates staff to achieve volume and customer service objectives. The BLCM has regular interaction with Financial Center Managers to review staffing, production results, and performance management action plans. They also ensure accurate data sources for monthly sales management reporting as it relates to pull through, BLC production, lead management, and loan quality. They perform regular analysis and report out on lending in assigned location(s). Monitor BLC productivity trends, and production pipeline and other matters involving department operations. Coordinates reporting with other major divisions of WaMu that relate to lending and sales activities. Supports and manages Lead Management Program including lead dispositioning. The BLCM also recruits, interviews, and hires qualified candidates as needed in accordance with approved guidelines and criteria. Supervises and conducts human resources programs for assigned department including performance evaluation, merit review, employee discipline, compensation, affirmative action, and related matters. High School Diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s Degree preferred 4-5 years of directly related experience working in a retail residential lending environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience Experience managing a sales force of 12-15 Banking Loan Consultants with aggressive sales goals preferably from multiple locations Ability to effectively accomplish aggressive sales objectives through a team of banking loan consultants Approximately 30-40% travel required to visit Financial Centers and BLCsWashington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
