BSA Officer

The BSA Officer is appointed and is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the Bank’s BSA Program and overall BSA Compliance. The BSA Officer’s direct and indirect responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:· Oversee development and implementation of procedures· Provide reports to the Board of Directors· Training of Bank personnel· Maintain a centralized currency transaction reporting system· Maintain exemptions from Currency Transaction Reports and a centralized exemption list· Maintain recordkeeping and retention requirements· File all currency transaction reports promptly and accurately · Report unusual transactions involving multiple purchases of monetary instruments· Monitor unusual cash activity· Monitor corporate and commercial accounts with excess cash business· Ensure all customer identification is verified according to the Customer Identification Program· Monitor transfer activity with countries designated as Non-Cooperative Countries and Territories by the Financial Action Task Force· Monitor and report single cash transaction activities that aggregate more than $10,000 in any one single day· Monitor the sales of monetary instruments purchased with cash in the amounts of $3,000 to $10,000 inclusive· Monitor and report all suspicious activities related to money laundering, terrorist financing and violations of the Bank Secrecy Act· Monitor and maintain a record of all wire transfer transactions in amounts of $3,000 or more· Comply with OFAC, FinCEN’s 314(a) requests and other USA Patriot Act requirements as applicable The BSA Officer will advise the Board of Directors and Senior Management of any additions or deletions to this Policy and the Procedures implementing this Policy.
