- Leads to a bank management career in one of our offices located in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.

- Combines classroom training, virtual/on-line resources, practical application and assessments.

 

As a high performing team member of Harris, the Bank Manager position is accountable for delivering superior financial results and best in class customer service by creating a proactive sales and service environment, and maximizing employee productivity and effectiveness.  The Bank Manager is responsible for establishing and enhancing the branch presence in the local market and developing strong community partnerships. 

 

What the Program Entails:

The 6 month program includes the following:

- Bank overview and orientation with exposure to multiple areas.

- Rotations with expert learning partners located in branches throughout the greater Chicago metropolitan area, specifically the West Suburbs

- Progress through numerous learning modules including:

 

Time Management Customer Service

Communication Skills Operations Management

Lending Management Sales Management

Financial Management Marketing Management

Performance Management Human Resources Management

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

 

The candidates selected will progress through the six-month Bank Manager Training Program (BMTP) as a team.  At the completion of the BMTP, participants will be placed in the role of either Assistant Bank Manager or Sr. Personal Banker for an undefined period of time.  They will then apply and be evaluated for open Bank Manager positions.

 

Experience

 

• Preferred Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience + 1-2 years banking or financial services experience and/or Business/Department Manager with proven leadership and sales experience in a large-scale retail environment

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Undergraduate College/University Degree or equivalent work experience + 1 year of banking experience and/or Business/Department Manager with proven leadership and sales experience in a large-scale retail environment

-Has sustained a high level of performance over their career

-Previous experience/focus delivering employee coaching and development

-Previous fiscal (P&L) accountability/exposure

-Demonstrated the ability to effectively manage multiple commitments

-Proven commitment to continuous learning

-Demonstrated leadership through involvement in community, professional or business organizations

-Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written)

-Demonstrated strong customer service skills

-Demonstrated ability to change behavior consistent with new learning or feedback

-Understands the time commitment involved to successfully complete the BMTP

-Is willing and committed to pursue open positions at any branch within their district
