Banking Center Manager I
BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible and accountable for directing and administering a banking center with generally less than $50 million in core deposits and loans. Ensure that the banking center provides the public with banking products and services for consumer and commercial accounts. Promote growth through the development of deposits, assets, fee-based services and the development and retention of new and existing customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Communicate to staff the goals of the banking center, and work diligently and creatively with the staff to set individual goals. Continually monitor performance against the banking center goals, adjusting individual goals and initiating sales promotions, as needed to meet goals.
· Communicate job expectations, evaluate performance against those expectations on a constant basis, providing continual coaching and guidance, and counseling as needed.
· Promote sales culture and ensure that the staff receives proper training to demonstrate abilities to sell and cross-sell to reach own individual/team sales goals. Follow HSB marketing initiatives and local sales promotions within guidelines provided.
· Set priorities, direct and delegate responsibilities to the platform staff, and follow through on the implementation of the designated activities.
· Consistently meet and exceed profit, deposit, and service fee income and loan sales goals as defined by the Regional Manager, actively soliciting the various retail products.
· Promote company products and services in the community to assist in the continuing growth of the office and company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Contact with the public, necessitating the ability to present a professional image
· Strong verbal and written communications skills
· In-depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures in order to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions
· Extensive product knowledge for the level of selling and cross-selling performance expected
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· College degree or equivalent experience required
· Five years of retail banking management experience preferred
· Series 6 and annuity license may be required
