Bankruptcy Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for monitoring and notating accounts involved in open Bankruptcy cases for contractual performance and case progression. Analyses account status upon receipt into BK Department and determines the best course of action to maximize company recovery within established Policy and Procedure. Ensures accounts handled in full compliance with applicable Bankruptcy rules and Company guidelines. Processes all paperwork associated with each case, either manually or electronically, including but not limited to filing Claims, Reaffirmation Agreements, and processing Repossession and File Maintenance requests. Resolves basic case matters such as vehicle valuation, voluntary surrender of collateral, and Redemption offers within Department guidelines. Maintains files for accounts while in BK Department. Handles incoming calls from customers and attorneys, takes Direct Debit payments, makes basic payment arrangements on accounts less than 30 days past due to bring fully current. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma Minimum 1 year of Customer Service or Collections experience.
