Branch Manager 5

Responsible for driving branch performance results through direction, leadership and execution of superior sales and service behaviors and activities by the entire team in order to meet/exceed branch sales goals. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the activities of a branch, and ensures effective execution of the SunTrust Branch Operating Model. Conducts outside sales to bring in new business banking clients, while also maintaining and expanding existing personal and business banking relationships. Meets/exceeds individual sales and referral goals.  Provides expertise in operational and risk management policies and procedures. Conducts sales meetings and coordinates strategy with Area Manager. Responsible for the selection and retention of top talent, preparation and conducting of timely performance reviews and pay decisions within the branch. Additionally, Branch Managers at In-Store locations have the added responsibility to ensure the partnership with the host store is maintained, expanded and mutually beneficial and to leverage in-store marketing and promotional opportunities.  Additionally, Licensed Branch Managers may hold insurance licenses (Life, Health and Variable) and/or hold NASD Series 6 and 63 registrations; and must maintain appropriate continuing education requirements as required for retaining licensing and NASD registration. Responsible for ensuring that all business transactions and practices in the individual s span of control comply with all regulations and the SunTrust Code of Conduct.  Branch demonstrates an environment where the mix of operational risk and complexity is moderate/low and sales opportunity and complexity is moderate/high. (Tier 3). Branch activity and sales levels propose median platform and teller span of control  Goals reflect a significant rise in acquisition and growth opportunities based on market demographics. Including small business prospects.  Operational risk is driven by less complex transactions but a variety of transaction levels Branch Manager supported by Platform Staff and:  Traditional - (Tier 3) Assistant Branch Manager 2/3/4 and Teller Lead.  In Store Branch - Assistant Branch Manager Minimum Requirements: High School education or equivalent. 3 years management experience in a financial services environment with knowledge of bank operational procedures and compliance.  Strong sales and service leadership skills directed toward effectively serving the customer. Preferred Requirements: Post High School education.  3 years experience as a Branch Manager or equivalent supervisory/management experience in the financial services industry. Operational and retail product experience as demonstrated by having held a position within a retail branch. Proven abilities to motivate team performance.  In addition minimally holds insurance licenses (Life, Health and Variable) and/or holds NASD Series 6 and 63 registrations; has maintained continuing education coursework to keep licenses and/or registrations in good standing.
