Branch Manager II - York

 

  

FUNCTION: The Branch Manager assumes responsibility for all sales functions in their branch geography. Plans, directs, organizes and controls the activities of the branch, including management of employees. Monitors branch activities to ensure attainment of goals and objectives. Collaborates with other areas of the bank in order to maintain and service existing business and retail relationships of the branch.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Business Development:Coordinates with Area Sales Manager to lead branch sales efforts by conducting sales routines with direct reports including skills and results coaching, monthly skill builders, team IMPACT meetings, and I-15's.If responsible for a satellite branch, performs sales management routines with managers of satellite branch offices, with scope and frequency as determined by market area potential.Responsible for achievement of established branch production goals including deposits, various loan categories, business line referrals and other business development goals.Communicates branch and area goals to team as well as the strategies necessary to achieve those goals.Assumes key role in building and fostering external bank advocacy network within the branch geography through involvement in center of influence networks, BSB sponsored events, boards, and other community involvement.Leads proactive branch efforts through outside calling to establish new bank relationships for consumers and micro businesses in the branch geography.Develops a cooperative and collaborative working relationship with other bank departments and lines of business in order to achieve established goals.Serves as a role model, coach, and sales resource to all team members.

 

Operations/Process:Coordinates with Area Admin Leader to ensure operational policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.Ensures branch staff is appropriately trained.Communicates bank policies, procedures, programs and goals to staff members.Ensures branch building and grounds are properly maintained.Ensures the branch banking security program is implemented and maintained, and that staff members are knowledgeable of such.

 

Human Resources:Leads the decision making process for branch staff regarding employment, performance, promotions, salary, transfers and terminations.Responsible for hiring and performance management of all direct branch reports.

 

Branch Administration:Works in conjunction with Area Admin Leader to ensure that the branch and bank is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.Operates and manages branch expenses within the limitations of the established branch budget.

 

Customer Experience:Promotes a customer-centered culture and attitude among staff that puts the customer first.Handles escalated customer complaints as appropriate.Leverages other bank resources to ensure an overall outstanding customer experience.

Compliance and Control:Assists in ensuring that the Bank is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations

 

General:Interacts harmoniously and effectively with others, focusing upon the attainment of bank goals and objectives through a commitment to teamwork.Conforms to acceptable punctuality/attendance standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook.Performs additional duties as requested.

  

 

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required, college, business or banking professional training helpful.Experience in positively managing and motivating subordinates required.Strong coaching skills and general understanding of sales management.Demonstrated personal computer literacy.Ability to handle complex problems.Strong communications skills, verbal and written.Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.Proactive planner and self-motivated, with strong selling and business development skills.Ability to attract, motivate and retain staff.Proven ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning efforts and activities to meet branch goals and objectives.

 

Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:General office environment.Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required. Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required.

 

Equipment Used:General office equipment.
