REQUIRED SKILLS:College degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. Advanced degree beneficial.10 + years of general bank experience in a lender/relationship manager role. Additional lendingexperience in the area of CRA related loans is desirable. Some supervisory experiencedesirable. Financial sales and lending abilities are required including a thorough understanding of all bank products. Complete knowledge of all bank CRA policies and procedures. JOB DESCRIPTION:Develops and utilizes a formal calling plan to target existing Business Banking customers forcross sell opportunities for business and personal deposits, loan products and services. Targetsprospects for establishment of banking relationships. Provide prompt attention to answer questions and solve problems for customers. Personallyresolve customer complaints even if they involve other departments of the bank. Schedule sales calls on customers and qualified prospects. Plan calls carefully as to productspresented, principal area of emphasis, etc. Interview business loan applicants in order to develop information and data necessary to makesound judgments relative to the applicant's credit risk. Subject to loan authority, approve or reject loan applications, and determine appropriate termsand conditions which are acceptable to the customer and in line with credit quality. For loanswhich are in excess of lenders authority, but still within the parameters of Business Banking,make recommendations and refer those cases to the appropriate lending officer for approval,while following through for timely continuity of customer service. Identify applications forreferral to other appropriate lending areas. As part of an active business development program, is cognizant of CRA opportunities forreferral and review by the market CRA department. Responsible for all aspects of portfolio management and credit quality including, loandocumentation, credit file maintenance, exceptions, risk rating and correction of anydiscrepancies as required by bank policies and procedures. Cross sell bank products to other lines of business of the bank as opportunities i.e., cashmanagement, trust, securities, etc. As assigned, may be responsible for managing the training and professional development of allemployees supervised. Instill self development in each employee and give them the opportunityto realize and achieve their full career potential through proper use of job descriptions, careerpaths, training opportunities, goal setting, continuous feedback and recognition.May perform the duties of the Group Lending Manager in his/her absence and may coordinateefforts of other Business Bankers.
