Note: This is a highly analytical mortgage industry position requiring experience using data manipulation, correlation and statistical analysis. The Business Analyst: Functions as a top level contributor with expertise in particular business processes responsible for formulating systems/process scope and objectives relative to the organizations business plan and industry requirements. Functions as a provider of technical /business process consulting on complex projects over broad business areas. Functions as a leader and director of the development of new customizations with design, documentation, testing and training, providing alternative solutions to the customer(s). Identifies problems, anticipates effects across business communities, researches best practice alternatives, prepares presentations, drives solutions, tests to confirm, gains consensus from a broad business community and implements customized solutions. Troubleshoots and guides others on a wide variety of complex problems and identifies solutions within broad application and functional expertise. Works to define, drive and implement broad based conceptual issues. Regularly leads cross functional teams to implement multiple processes within a broad business function. Assigns work to cross functional team members and monitors multiple project status and completion. Actively identifies issues, seeks out solutions and makes recommendations to the broad business community to apply customized solutions to solve business problems. Participates with and heavily influences management for defining requirements and setting objectives. Negotiates, persuades, and gains consensus from senior management, cross functional teams and business communities impacted by process implementation. Functions as project management responsibilities for implementing broad and complex business processes. Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. This position will work exclusively with the LoanPerformance RiskModel product and its associated business processes, functions and projects. Knowledge of residential mortgage structured finance is a big plus.QualificationsThis position is highly analytical requiring 8+ years of experience using data manipulation, correlation and statistical analysis in the mortgage industry,including a significant level of professional expertise, plus a B.S. degree or equivalent work experience.
