Become a part of our dynamic and growing company and make an impact in the following role:Business Development Officer III(Downtown Chicago)· Develops commercial loan relationships and deposit accounts by implementing marketing strategy and identifying potential clients.· Calls on prospective and existing clients to generate loans, deposits, fees and other bank products and services.· Develops and presents loan proposals to clients.· Maintains a continuing relationship with existing clients to retain their goodwill and to develop additional business.· Expands network of prospects by focusing on existing internal and external referral sources and building new contact networks.· Interacts with branch personnel to identify prospective business clients and makes joint calls with branch managers or other bank representatives.· Utilizes sales and product knowledge to effectively cross-sell products to new or existing customers or to refer new or existing customers to other areas of the bank.· Implements the marketing strategy, identifies potential clients and, in conjunction with other credit and underwriting staff, closes new business.· Participates in a variety of community-oriented and professional organizations to provide additional networking and referral opportunities.· Reports regularly on calls made, and keeping the Group Manager informed concerning the status of new business accounts in process.· In most cases, assigns new relationships to other relationship managers for credit analysis, presentation for approval and continuing service monitoring. On occasion, will retain relationships to manage as the primary relationship officer and periodically be assigned as secondary relationship officer on client accounts.Our People are First Bank’s most valuable asset. Required assets to perform this position successfully are: · Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Finance or a related field. · Minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training in credit administration, business banking sales, or commercial lending; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · PC proficiency in a Windows environment required.Join the First Bank team.
