Initiates and maintains telephone prospecting efforts with companies' decision makers (CEOs and CFOs) of Middle Market and Corporate customers.
 
Major Responsibilities
Initiates telephone based prospecting efforts with primarily" Middle Market" companies, but could include some "Corporate" commercial companies.
 
Duties may include:  Profiling new prospects as well as analyzing and identifying opportunities to sell commercial loans, deposit services, global trades, and other banking services to previously identified prospects.
 
Establish Union Bank of California as a viable banking option with prospects by maintaining continuous contact with prospect's CEO or CFO.  As immediate banking needs are identified, refer prospects over to Relationship Managers for sales closing and account management.
 
Updates ESB system with information collected during calls.
 
Sends specific mail items to prospect companies, when appropriate, as follow-up to initial calls. Outbound Call Center sales experience is a plus!

 Usually requires knowledge and background similar to Relationship Manager or Business Development Officer.
 Typically requires knowledge of bank products appropriate for "Middle Market" customers and a familiarity with underwriting guidelines and credit process associated with commercial lending.
 Cold calling/business development experience preferred."
