Required SkillsBachelor degree preferred in either finance or accounting. Minimum of eight years bank experience in a commercial lending job. Centralized commercial credit underwriting experience is highly desirable. Strong credit skills and knowledge of credit policy. Ability to structure and underwrite loans with complex structures and pricing options. Working knowledge of various government lending programs such as Export Import Bank loan guarantee program, SBA, etc. Working knowledge of credit issues and bank policies related to foreign exchange, operational services exposure, and derivatives products. Thorough knowledge of loan products and other services required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.This position will be located in either the Philadelphia, PA or Annapolis, MD area. The address for the Maryland office is 1824 George Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401.Job DescriptionUnderwrite and decision (approve/decline) commercial credit applications sourced from the PNC Bank relationship managers ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000 with conventional judgmental analysis as the primary underwriting method. Provide ongoing portfolio management of the loan portfolio through continuous monitoring and annual reviews, renewal of existing credit facilities, monitoring financial and covenant compliance, and servicing modification requests. Act as a liaison between the Credit Administration Center and the sales team in the field with direct client contact as is necessary. Provide total quality and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility for delivering PNC Bank's products and services.Review credit applications, underwrite and decision credit requests, communicate credit decisions/issues to sales/credit teams in field (including recommending alternate structures/pricing and credit enhancements such as SBA or other programs), determine and assign credit risk rating, identify and properly mitigate credit policy exceptions, recommend strategies on deteriorating credits, review compliance with financial/reporting requirements, identify documentation exceptions, identify/correct data integrity of loan reporting systems, order/review property/lien searches to determine proper collateral/lien position, ensure documentation requests are accurate/complete.
