The expectation is that your response is professional in tone and language. Troubleshooting and investigative skills are important characteristics of a customer service phone representative. In addition, customer service phone representatives will be responsible for ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.  Your resolutions must be clear and meet the customer’s needs with one interaction.  Business needs require flexibility in scheduling.
