Channel/Product Marketing Manager- Real Estate Segment

Equity Trust Company has over 34 years of experience and is a recognized leader in providing custodial services for self-directed IRAs and small business retirement plans for close to 40,000 clients. Equity Trust provides its clients with a wide array of trust services, including serving as an IRA custodian and as a trustee for individuals, corporations, institutions and employee benefit, stock ownership and retirement plans.

Being domiciled in the state of South Dakota, allows clients to establish trusts under South Dakota law and benefit from the favorable trust laws in that state.

Equity Trust is currently has an opening for a Channel Marketing Manager for its Real Estate Segment. The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the product development and business strategy for the real estate channel which includes novice, passive and active real estate investors, private bank borrowers, heads of real estate-based private placements, realtors/title companies among others.  This position will oversee the product, marketing, and sales lead generation for this segment.

 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities/Functions:

 

Develop and Manage the Real Estate Channel Strategy

 Responsible for the overall direction and product marketing for the real estate channel.Define the channel’s strategic plan including research, product development, targeting, marketing and communications, and measurement strategies.  As product manager, define and grow market share within the segment. Identify, through analysis of existing client profiles and new niche segments to target.  Create and execute lead generation campaigns targeted at these markets.  Define internal working relationships/processes for effectively servicing existing specialty segments as well as emerging segments.  Collaborate with other channel managers and marketing to align lead generation efforts and marketing opportunities. Participate in Marketing project teams and assist in planning, scheduling and production, including completion of timelines and cost estimates.

 

Voice of the Customer/Research

 Develop, maintain and manage business development opportunities by actively seeking, capturing and measuring voice of the customer data. Own the customer experience for clients of this segment through research and analysis of their wants and needs, including an understanding of the value exchange.Gather market intelligence and competitive insights on products and marketing programs to this segment.Synthesize and provide regular insights to key stakeholders with regards to trends, client impact and key insights.Develop key messages significant to this channel for marketing materials and deliverables

 Product Development

 Position Equity Trust product’s value proposition to this segment to drive leads and facilitate the closing of sales.  Set product strategy and direct the roadmaps for products and/or product enhancements.  Work with Risk Management to ensure products meet all guidelines and requirements. Identify approaches and channels to reach the markets within this segment.Oversee the product development and launch of newly identified niches. Align with sales and CST to ensure partners have the appropriate content, tools, materials, training and lead generation programs to successfully market the IRA offerings.Work closely with systems and IT personnel to ensure operational support and tracking mechanisms are in place to support product and clients.

 

 

Outreach, Marketing and Communications

 Conceive and execute an ongoing communications strategy – providing “what you should know, what you should do insights” to the segment.  Establish regular contact with select centers of influence for the real estate segment through communications, attendance at professional forums and educational opportunities as well as telephone/email contact.Support exploration/development of an online community for investors and deal makers.  Coordinate with specialty segment and web/interactive channel managers.  Develop sales tools and templates for presentation materials to support sales and CST efforts in servicing the segment.  Establish a brand message for this segment reflecting Equity Trust’s brand identity and ensure identity standards are consistent in all communications. 

 

 

Lead Generation Programs

 Develop the lead generation strategy to differentiate Equity Trust in the self-directed IRA arena for real estate investors.Identify and aggressively market to deeper segments within the real estate industry. Craft messaging of “Why Equity Trust for this segment.” Continue to test, track, report and enhance lead activity.Integrate these efforts with other channel lead generation programs.

Essential Education/Training/Work Experience:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or other related field.

· 5+ years experience in product development or a marketing role that has supported product

· Experience in launching new or enhanced products and identifying target markets.

· A thorough understanding or experience working within the real estate market a plus.

· Research, collection of voice of the customer data analysis experience.

· Experience writing and implementing business plans.

· Experience developing lead generation programs in various formats and delivery channels.

· Strong project and people management skills.

· Familiarity with database management and CRM systems.

· Proven effective communication skills (verbal and written)
