Chief Information Officer

We have partnered with a new, innovative chain of Banks of the Florida area to find a individual to be the focal point for all technology decisions. 

Position Overview:

 

Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for delivering all managerial, technical and strategic tasks in an entrepreneurial banking environment. This includes It Budget Responsibility, Hardware/Software/IT Services Vendor Management, User Liaison, Inventory Management, Software Management, Website Management, Backup/Recovery of key assets, Disaster Planning, Process development (Writing Manuals).  This person will report to the President and act as focal point for all Technology decisions/issues relating to the bank.   

 

Duties:

IT Budget Responsibility

 Hardware/Software/IT Services Vendor ManagementManage efforts and measure activities provided by current IT Services Vendor Manage Service levels outlined in contracts with vendors Coordinate cross vendor support efforts for any Hardware and software related issues Maintaining and updating the Bank's Contingency and Business Continuity Plans and for testing those plans in accordance with established policies; monitor contingency and business continuity plans of outsourced Business Partners. 

 User/Resource ManagementCreate/Delete Users on Various Systems (Network, PC’s, Applications, Telephone Systems) LAN and 3rd party applications ((Harland, CALYX, etc.) Maintain Logs on Maintenance Performed Create and Maintain Manuals on how to Create and manage Users for various applications and systems

 Inventory and Software ManagementMaintain Inventory of Bank’s Assets related to IT Setup/Configure Workstations for Deployment throughout the Bank/Loan Branches Maintain a sufficient Inventory of Key Assets to use for replacements Maintain Maintenance and Support agreements on various hardware/software Applying Updates to key assets on a timely basis Applying Updates/Patches to key software applications 

Website Management 

Backup/Recovery and Disaster PlanningResponsible for the Backup of Key Bank Data and be able to recover that data when needed Maintain Disaster Recovery Hardware/Software – keep up to date Testing Disaster Plans Departmental Liaison – Help coordinate DR efforts of Departments Recover Assets/Data Maintain Hardware @ Hotsites Supporting Departmental Tests Regular Testing of disaster processes Update Manuals

 Process Development This will include creating and maintaining manuals on key IT Operations and job functions How to Setup Users for various applications Update Disaster Recovery Procedures Software Installations PC Configurations Other IT Related Applications Work with Various departments on implementation of new products or services as requested

Support all Banking Employees/OfficersLAN/WAN management and support IT Security Related functions IT Audits Communications

 Messaging ManagementResponsible for maintaining, supporting and configuring the Bank’s Messaging Systems Internal/External Email and Voicemail integration. 

 

Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; Five to seven years prior IT experience within a Banking environment with detailed knowledge of networks, hardware, software and telecommunications protocols; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, CITRIX Server technology, Windows XP and Vista, Internet protocols, information and network security, virtual private networks; Experience with Banking/LOAN software (Harland, CALYX, etc); Currency with broad technological direction and industry best practices for defined benefit and defined contribution plan sponsors and benefits administrators is preferred; Demonstrated ability to interview, hire, and supervise staff Strong organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving the coordination of internal and external resources; Ability to think strategically and to make sound decisions; A CAN DO attitude and ability to overcome technical obstacles which hinder solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff, management and outside vendors to develop productive business relationships; Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop procedures, work instructions and status reports;   Ability to work independently and collaboratively as both a team member and team leader. Ability to manage business baseline technology budget for application - related activities, approve ad hoc, non application - related spending
