As the Claims Specialist, you will make your mark by: -Being responsible for the contractual administration of all mechanical claims ranging from $0-$1200 for all TMIS Vehicle Service Agreements and TMS Certified Warranties. This position interfaces with dealers, customers, alternate repair facilities. -Verifying the actual cause and extent of mechanical failure, and determining if the mechanical failure meets coverage guidelines. -Negotiating claim settlements, referencing industry standard manuals/software for part pricing/labor times. The proper settlement of these claims has a direct result on customer/dealership satisfaction along with a reduction in overall losses and increased profitability for TMIS and it's selling dealers, as the position authorizes $ 500,000 in claims annually. -Must be familiar with all automotive manufacturers' warranties (i.e. powertrain, basic, emissions etc.), federal emissions guidelines/warranty requirements, and state emission guideline/warranties. -Remaining current with automotive technology (manufacturer repair procedures, automotive system/component operations, recalls, TSBs, SSCs for all makes/models). Qualifications TFS is looking for individuals with strong business sense and practical expertise. Successful candidates must have: -1-3 years automotive retail, wholesale, service or parts experience desired. * Excellent communication skills. -Strong analytical and problem solving skills. -Ability to enter and retrieve information via a keyboard proficiently. -Team oriented and results driven. -Attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
