As a member of the Templeton investment team, the Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) is responsible for communicating the investment team’s investment philosophy, process and current strategy to external decision makers who are responsible for making portfolio selection decisions for both domestic and international investment platforms. The Client Portfolio Manager will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer. As a member of the Templeton Investment team, it will be necessary for the CPM to be located with the team in the Fort Lauderdale, FL office. The CPM needs to have complete knowledge of, and preferably first hand experience with, the research process used for selecting individual securities as well as the process employed in constructing portfolios using the latest risk management and portfolio construction tools and methodologies. The successful candidate must also be familiar with the use of portfolio analytical tools and methodologies employed by investment consultants and platform managers. The CPM will work closely with all distribution channels within Global Advisory Services to assist in winning new portfolio mandates for their team, to support client retention efforts and to meet with Board’s and other key decision makers at existing clients to provide periodic portfolio reviews and updates. The CPM will also draft periodic, detailed portfolio commentary that will be supplied to the key investment decision makers at our domestic and international clients. A successful CPM candidate will have prior investment management experience in the asset class that they are representing and will also possess a CFA.
