Description:ResponsibilitiesGeneral Statement of Duties: This position supports Alliance Datas Retail clients by developing and planning marketing programs to meet multiple client co-brand marketing objectives and co-brand product growth goals. The Planner must be able to gather, interpret and analyze portfolio, client, customer, and marketplace insights to develop the required marketing plan. This role functions as a coordinator between the Client Sales teams and Marketing Services, providing program definition to Marketing Services including direction, key timing and expected outcomes. Planner is also the key contact for all questions related to program initiatives. Participates in client meetings and is responsible for developing and presenting the co-brand marketing plan and calendar. Other tasks may include but are not limited to: translating key insights into action through program analysis, processing marketing program invoices and monitoring of the marketing fund, working with clients to plan impactful smart statement messaging, monthly brand reporting, monthly newsletters, collateral review and approval. Supervision Received: Reports to Product Development Manager or DirectorSupervision Exercised: No supervision exercised Examples of Duties: (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do that listed examples include all that may be found in this job.)Relationship Management Supports Product Development and Client Sales Manager(s) by developing, recommending, presenting and gaining client acceptance of marketing programs to meet client co-brand growth goals and co-brand product growth goals. Cultivates relationships with key internal and external personnel through increased client team interaction, program communication and program responsibility. Provides program definition, direction and key timing around expected outcomes.Credit Marketing Campaigns Responsible for the planning and effective communication of credit marketing programs for Alliance Datas co-brand clients including but not limited to the development of program requirements, including program goals, key program dates, and results analysis. Project Management Assists client sales teams with co-brand marketing project meetings for new client implementations and new program definition. Develops presentations for client meetings in conjunction with client sales teams. Planning Translates key insights into action by developing, presenting and gaining acceptance of the marketing strategy and tactics. Problem Solving Serves as the escalation point for issues related to marketing campaign execution; makes sound and reasonable decisions toward problem resolution by analyzing alternatives and using effective problem solving techniques.Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A strong understanding of credit marketing principles including cardholder lifecycle management (Shift, Lift, Retention). Technical Skills Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Strong analytical skills with the proven experience to analyze data, develop actionable marketing plans from insights, and evaluate results. Working knowledge of all Retail Marketing systems, products and services. Basic knowledge of data gathering tools and techniques.Communication Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations for both internal and external clients. Effective meeting facilitator and strong negotiation skills. Professional Strong organizational, project and time management skills are required. Proven ability to problem solve. Must be able to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
