Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly energetic, self-motivated, proven performer to fill a current full-time opening in our Collections Department as a Collections Specialist.  

This position will be responsible for:

·  Contacting customers regarding delinquent accounts.

·  Reviewing payment lists, maintaining files, and preparing reports on the kind and status of delinquent account and collection activities.

·  Preparing and sending out correspondence to customers, agencies, and governmental agencies as required.

·  Contacting credit bureaus for customer reports, skip-tracing, updating addresses and gathering additional information as necessary.

 

The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma and prior collections experience with a working knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  This individual should also have good attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and deal tactfully with customers. In addition, they must have the ability to multi-task, work in fast pace team environment and strong computer skills.
