Collector - Consumer Purchase

Responsibilities include complying with all specified FDCPA, state, and city laws and provisions, as outlined in the FDCPA training, the West training program and the FDCPA test; working the accounts of the assigned collection file per work standards; collecting assigned budget on a monthly basis, collecting as many overdue accounts as possible; making arrangements with debtors to pay debt in full or to set up the best possible arrangements; documenting all collection activity in the FAC system in a concise and accurate manner; correcting any deficiencies or oversights as outlined by supervisor, Collection Manager or Operations Manager during telephone monitoring, file activity or production reviews; maintaining good public relations; and performing other duties/responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED Minimum six months collection or customer service experience preferred Candidates need to successfully meet the requirements of the specific project or position (inquire with Human Resources) and obtain an acceptable score on job-related assessments Must successfully complete and pass the FDCPA test May be required to undergo and pass applicable background checks Knowledge of a suite of office software packages
