Commercial Banking Group Manager

The Business Manager  is responsible for meeting commercial revenue and

expense goals through the effective delivery of a broad range of products and

services. Directs, administers and coordinates the activities of the bank in

accordance with policies, goals and objectives.  Responsible for the management of commercial operating procedures, personnel, financial performance, credit quality, and profitability of  a specific region.  Additional duties:

 Has responsibility for the management of the bank’s commercial activities to ensure maximum profits commensurate with the best interests of customers, employees and the franchise.In conjunction with corporate management, provides leadership in establishing overall objectives, policies and plans for the region.  This position is responsible for all matters pertaining to the business; develops and recommends credit pricing; reviews customer financial and operating statements, and analyzes major commercial clients in order to maximize the value of the relationship.Work closely with others to lead the development of integrated sales and relationship management programs that achieve desired revenue and profitability goals.Recommends and manages long-range objectives.Develops and maintains organizational structure and coordinates major activities through subordinates.Attract and retain top quality staff, including maintaining a candidate pipelineContinually monitor practices of competition and report findings to management when appropriateMaintain frequent interaction with region's largest customers and most important prospects, the broker community, community leaders, trade associations, regulators, and senior business contacts. Leads and sets the tone for business development activities. 

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in one or more of the following fields:  Business Administration, Finance & Banking, Economics, Law, Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in bank or finance related industries, along with management experience. Comprehensive knowledge of bank related activities. Strong technical skills including extensive knowledge of commercial lending and credit processes (credit trained preferred). Deep understanding of business development techniques, sales processes and an intense customer orientation. Strong strategic acumen including understanding of risk/reward balance, use of financial indicators and the legal & regulatory environment. Strong analytic skills and ability to rapidly assimilate complex information. Ability to build relationships and inspire trust across the organization.Minimum of 5 years management experience.Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) would be a plus
