A bank that has tripled their assets in the last 6 years! Our client has a strong footprint in the Greater Madison area as one of the largest and oldest community based organizations.
The Commercial Lender will be responsible for managing accounts to promote the Bank’s growth, credit quality and profitability objectives. Effective management and development of a quality loan portfolio and business relationships is a key responsibility. This position takes a proactive role in developing new business and strengthening existing relationships.
q Develops new business and strengthens existing relationships through various services and benefits
q Maintains a quality loan portfolio through proper loan underwriting and portfolio management
q Prepares loan presentation packages and proper loan documentation
q Assists Branch Managers and junior lenders on lending issues and business development efforts
q Works closely with the Business Services department in selling and analyzing noncredit business service and products
q Cross-sells Bank products to existing clients and prospects
q Attends seminars, training sessions, etc. to maintain a high level of industry knowledge
q Negotiates terms of loans, including pricing, structure, note length, and collateral
q Reviews existing loans to ensure compliance with terms
q Actively pursues community functions as part of professional networking
q Serves as a member of the Lenders Loan Committee, participates in Lender, ALCO and staff meetings
q Exercises normal authority of a manager and assists staff with questions and problems
