Commercial Loan Portfolio Officer II

Administers and monitors portfolio of larger, more complex commercial loans, personally managing or assisting lenders in managing loan relationships within the group. Provides ongoing high levels of customer service and ensures loans are administered according to agreements. May be assigned own accounts and/or share account management responsibilities with commercial loan officers. Accompanies loan officers during sales calls to assist with account details and implementation. Gathers customer financial information when due, performs more complex credit analyses and grants line extensions with approval as needed, ensures covenants are followed, maintains current risk ratings, makes necessary comments in credit files, orders necessary appraisals and inspections, visits customers independently and with commercial loan officers to maintain strong business relationships, audit accounts and cross sell additional Company products and services. Maintains extensive knowledge base of commercial and other Company products and services, including loan policy, documentation, structuring and regulatory requirements. May lead activities of unit, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.Requirements: 4-year degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required. 3-5 years commercial lending experience required, including credit analysis. In-depth understanding of commercial credit decision process. Strong credit, financial analysis and accounting skills. Knowledge of commercial legal and regulatory guidelines. Proven customer service and relationship management skills, including track record of building and expanding customer relationships. Attention to detail. Supervisory skills, if lead position. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
