The CAO leads the Community Affairs Department and is responsible for developing and implementing the department’s strategic vision, focused on assisting financial institutions to meet the financial services needs of their communities. Department staff identify and analyze community development needs in the region and work with financial institutions and others to facilitate programmatic responses.Essential SkillsThe successful candidate will be an experienced professional with a solid understanding of community and economic development issues, policies, and regulations and with a demonstrated ability to guide research on the economic fundamentals affecting lower income communities and to craft innovative responses. The position requires strong strategic leadership, management, and analytical skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
