Community Dev Mgr II

Coordinates community development activities for Pennsylvania. Responsible for making equity investments and loans in residential, commercial real estate and small business projects primarily in low and moderate income areas. Maintain contact with local, state and federal agencies, Community Development Corporations, Developers, and other entities involved. Participate actively in bank CRA activities. Consults and advises organizations, communities and individuals involved in community development activities.Primary interface between bank and community development organizations.Excellent communication skills required.Resolution, coordination and decision-making required.Works closely with developers, syndicators, government agencies, and other individuals or entities involved in the development of low and moderate income communities.Represents bank to the public regarding community development, financing, promoting the image of National City. Coordinates community development lending and investment re-development activities for Pennsylvania.Interacts with Pennsylvania and corporate senior management personnel. Administers the activities of the Pennsylvania community development advisory board. Maintains a strong working knowledge of all public sector and governmental loan products, development funds and grant funds.QualificationsKnowledge is normally acquired by completion of 4 years of college resulting in a bachelor s degree or equivalent.Three to five years commercial lending or public sector community development experience required. Technical knowledge of public/private economic development financing is required. Strong communication, inter-personal and organizational skills required.Group presentation/public speaking experience beneficial.
