POSITION/TITLE:  Compliance/ Risk Management Specialist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF JOB

 

Prepares and file SAR and CTR reports. Reduces corporate risk by analyzing risk; prepares compliance reports and utilizing Enterprise Risk Management skills 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Must have extensive knowledge in BSA and OFCA policy, reporting and record keeping requirements. Verify member’s information and ensure conformity with the US Patriot Act. Must have the ability to write procedures for internal control and monitoring. Maintains quality compliance by reviewing Reg. CC and be knowledgeable in BSA and OFAC software. Provides management and officials with a comprehensive view of risk across the organization. Regulate a credit Union’s risk appetite with its business strategy; Facilitating a thoughtful risk response that aligns with a Credit Union risk appetite; Scaling ERM for differing degrees of execution and optimizing the return on risk management budget, regardless of budget size. Provides report and analyses by collecting, and analyzing and summarizing information. Completes risk analysis programming projects by identifying needs-collaborating system-satisfying requirements.

Review Loan portfolio to determine compliance with the state and federal regulations, by law and credit union policy.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Management

 

Experience: Minimum of two to five years of experience with accounting functions &

Compliance, Audit or Risk Management, preferably with a financial institution

 

Skills: Professional, well-developed oral and written communication skills.

Type 40 wpm; understanding of basic accounting;

  Analyzing information, Quality Management, informing others

  Reporting skills
