Computing Services Manager - Enterprise Software Distribution

Manager - Enterprise Software Distribution: Position manages a team of 12 individual contributors loosely divided into three teams who utilize the Marimba toolset to stage and install end user application software, software updates, Microsoft Security patches, server agent software and troubleshoot application functionality issues related to these deployments. The current team manages change for 1,412 applications on approximately 65,000 hosts used in 26 business lines at an average rate of 42 application updates deployed per month to 220,000 hosts per month. Experience required:·  Excellent diplomacy, negotiation and collaboration abilities.·  Verbal and written persuasive communication.·  Analytical analysis with an emphasis on prioritization based on return on investment.·  Statistical analysis and reporting with contextual explanation.·  Project leadership.·  Creative problem solving.·  Technical knowledge of Windows PC, Windows Server and general networking principals.·  Excellent scheduling and time management.·  Deductive reasoning.·  Process creation, documentation and post implementation measurement.·  Experience with direct mentoring and history of successfully transitioning individual contributors into higher roles.·  Employee performance review criteria, measurement & feedback·  Strategic business planning including identifying objectives, goals, measurement techniques and documentation. Optional Skills/Experience:·  Microsoft T-SQL·  Knowledge of a scripting language at least to the extent of identifying implication of errors.·  Working knowledge of foundational network services including:- Active Directory- DNS- DHCP- Ethernet- Token Ring- TCP/IP- SNA- Common Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity technologies and associated bandwidths.·  Working knowledge of common foundational Windows PC & Server infrastructure components including:- Basic security agents- Registry structure- Common services- Disk space, RAM and processor as it relates to application performance and user experience.
