PRIMARY PURPOSE: Develop and manage construction lending relationships, including participation in the credit approval process.  Manage own portfolios including responsibility for account preparation and documentation.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and maintain customer base.

2. Assist customers with financial planning.

3. Recommend, approve and/or reject credit requests as required.

4. Review financial statements and supporting documents, ensuring all documentation for approval and administrative processes are complete and correct.

5. Work with other internal departments to ensure cross-selling of bank products to customers.

6. Monitor portfolio quality for early detection and communication of problems.

7. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, agency guidelines, and organization policies.

8. Travel throughout Tri-State area as required.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Qualifications) Knowledge-Skills-Abilities

·  Working knowledge of credit analysis, including identification of exposure and risk in credit and non-credit products.

·  Working knowledge of banking regulations (ex. Reg. B) and business law regarding credit approvals, policy, and special risk signoffs.

·  Extensive selling, negotiating, and relationship management skills.

·  High-level communication skills: written – verbal – listening. Experience and Education

·  5-10 years experience in construction lending, including extensive credit analysis and customer service.

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, with concentration in Finance, Accounting, or Marketing preferred.

 

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:  Office environment.  Ability to operate motor vehicle for traveling to various company regions within Tri-State area. Ability to use hands, fingers, wrists, in order to operate a computer.  Ability to hear and speak clearly in order to communicate simple to complex information to individuals and groups.
