Construction Real Estate Loan Officer

A. Position Purpose

Responsible for developing/underwriting construction real estate loan relationships including major and/or complex transactions for the residential/merchant builders.

 B. Position Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:





Plan/implement marketing strategies to establish relationships with:

§ Top and second tier real estate development firms. Generate new loan volume.

§ Manage a portfolio of active construction loan development projects and coordinate activities of support staff for disbursements and progress reporting.

§ Manage the analysis and underwriting process and ensure timely completion.

Make clear and concise presentations of new loan proposals to obtain necessary credit approvals.
§ Perform CIP (Customer Identification Program) processes as outlined in the Bank’s current Bank Secrecy Act Policy.

 

§ Monitor and communicate potential suspicious activity/transactions to the BSA Officer utilizing the Bank’s Suspicious Activity Investigation Report Form.

§ Ensure the security and confidentiality of private customer information.

§ Protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of customer information.

§ Protect against unauthorized access to or use of customer information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any customer.

§ Successful completion of required compliance related training (to include quizzes/tests) within prescribed timelines.

§ Perform other duties/projects as assigned.

§ Reports to Executive Vice President, Commercial Lending Division.

 C. Position Requirements

Functional/Technical Skills

§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

§ Intermediate PC skills.

Experience

§ Minimum at least 5 years experience in developing, negotiating and structuring merchant builder relationships.

Environmental/Physical Demands

§ Ability to work on multiple projects with the flexibility for changing priorities; the ability to work with constant interruptions.

§ Work with a variety of personalities and keeping a positive, upbeat personality and attitude.
