Job Description for DE UNDERWRITER:File assignments by Region.  Underwriter/Account Manager teams are assigned to designated Account Executives.  Initial file decision Initial file due diligence Setting of conditions and update of loan status report Complete Appraisal review Update loan status report with cleared conditions Rework of loan file that have major changes from the Account Manager Minimum of six initial underwrites per day Review of any underwriting conditions once file is in process

Job Description for CONVENTIONAL UNDERWRITER:

· Work directly with a designated Account Manager based on AE and Region assignment

· Perform full underwrite and due diligence of all new loans according to Senderra’s guidelines

· Ability to thoroughly review appraisals

· Manage pipeline via UW Pipeline tool

· Ensure all files are completed within the published service level agreements

· Minimum of six initial underwrites per day

 

 

Work Experience Requirements for DE UNDERWRITER:

·  Must be DE certified with CHUMS ID

· Must interface effectively with other departments, outside vendors and have a solid knowledge of mortgage programs and processes

· Must interface effectively with other departments, outside vendors and have a solid knowledge of mortgage programs and processes

· Strong customer service skills.

· Ability to work effectively, accurately, with great attention to detail.

· Ability to handle high volume with minimum supervision and successfully meet established deadlines and cycle time requirements. 

· Ability to handle complicated situations with a positive, customer service driven answer when communicating with internal and external customers

· Friendly, customer service phone etiquette.

· Outstanding initiative, communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills required.

· Excellent data entry skills

 

Work Experience Requirements for CONVENTIONAL UNDERWRITER:

· Must have 3 recent years of Conventional, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac underwriting experience.

· Must interface effectively with other departments, outside vendors and have a solid knowledge of mortgage programs and processes

· Strong customer service skills.

· Ability to work effectively, accurately, with great attention to detail.

· Ability to handle high volume with minimum supervision and successfully meet established deadlines and cycle time requirements.

Education Requirements for DE UNDERWRITER:

Bachelor’s degree preferred and 4+ years of similar experience in mortgage/real estate lending to include government and prime lending experience.

 

Education Requirements for CONVENTIONAL UNDERWRITER:

Bachelor's Degree.
