Qualifications
Undergraduate degree.
Minimum 5 years experience in sales, including market analysis, contract negotiations, proposals, and presentations.
Proven ability to develop new sales streams with a strong track record in sales goal achievement.
Knowledge of merchant services, card industry, and banking services.
Working knowledge of banking operations and cash management functions.
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple duties and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
Travel required within the state of Michigan.
This outside sales position is responsible for the production and development of Merchant Services opportunities for prospective, new and existing Citizens Bank business customers serviced by the Commercial and Corporate Bank groups. The position requires handling all aspects of direct selling including sales calls, customer meetings, presentations, proposals, RFP responses, follow-up, analysis of competitor statements and contract negotiation. This person will develop relationships with key bank personnel, attend bank-sponsored meetings and events, and participate in joint calls with bank officers in order to build, grow, and sustain Merchant Services business or other products and services offered by RBS Lynk. Position requires identifying and creating a merchant services prospect list, timely follow up on assigned referrals, obtaining all information necessary to successfully board merchants, acting as an escalation point for customer service issues, keeping abreast of industry and competitive market information, and other duties and special projects as assigned.
