Corporate Communications Manager (66)

1) Help define and support media relations strategy to build awareness and improve perception of the corporation, its products and services, and its people. Activities include researching, writing and distributing press releases, answering media inquiries and serving as a backup spokesperson to the marketing director 2) Serve as content manager for the corporate Intranet, creating a robust site with messages that are consistent with the corporate objectives. Specific activities include writing and/or editing articles for the internal web site, posting articles and refreshing other content on the web site's home page, working with Technology on additional services that would benefit employees 3) Serve as corporate web site editor. Work with VP/Online Channel to provide fresh content to customers and visitors to the Eastern Bank web site. Specific duties include reviewing existing web pages to strengthen content as it relates to key messages 4) Work with business lines to produce newsletters, annual report and other printed material 5) Serve as department's editor for all critical communications, including speeches, key marketing communications material, and Powerpoint presentationsRequired SkillsStrong grammar and communication skills. Strong knowledge of print, broadcast and online media. Ability to manage multiple projects. Proficient in Microsoft Word, with some experience in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.Required ExperienceAt least five years writing experience, preferably with some corporate or agency experience. Four-year college degree.
