JOB DESCRIPTION:

SVB Financial Group is seeking a junior to mid-level attorney with experience in contract drafting and negotiation, including experience with licensing agreements, services and consulting agreements, NDAs, cross-border agreements and applicable regulations such as GLBA.  Familiarity in supporting general corporate infrastructure initiatives, financial services operations, procurement/vendor management or human resources departments is a plus but not required. 

 

The ideal candidate should be hard-working, self-motivated and able to work independently in a team-oriented environment.  He or she should bring a strong sense of ethics, sound business judgment and the desire to be a business-oriented problem solver.  He or she must have excellent legal skills, including analytical, issue-spotting and written/verbal communication skills, and should be flexible and willing to handle a wide variety of legal issues and workload.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates must have the following:

J.D. from a top-tier law school, with excellent academic credentials;

3-5 years relevant legal experience (at least 3 years with a major law firm and the remainder either in-house or with a firm);

outstanding work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills, sense of humor; and

California bar membership.
