BB&T is looking for a talented Web Design and Maintenance Professional.   We are substantially growing our organization to support and define the new enhancements and applications that are making BBT.com the envy of our industry! Please email me links to your portfolio of personal web work, along with your resume for immediate consideration for Kelly Bowling, Technical Recruiter/Online Channel.   We are looking for an applicant with a strong mix of the following skills- tell me what you’ve got in your toolkit that will take our online presence to the next level!  Bachelor’s degree with five+ years experience in graphic design for a corporate web site or equivalent education and related training/experience Ability to write source code for HTML and advanced CSS Experience in graphic design and multimedia techniques required Solid communication and problem-solving/analytical skills required Ability to work on a team is required Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, w3c guidelines are required Flash at intermediate to advanced level is required Strong attention to detail (unit-testing) Familiarity with usability concepts a plus Familiarity with Javascript and/or ASP is a plus (but not required)   Primary Purpose:The Web Designer is responsible for creating and maintaining web content and creating graphic and multimedia elements that support and promote our brand across all of our online channels.  Such deliverables will range from content on our corporate website and Intranet site, to developing prototypes, graphics, code, and content for our online applications.  The Web Designer can also be responsible for developing key online marketing pieces that could include banner ads, landing pages, multimedia content, demos, and tutorials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. Designs and creates custom layouts and templates for all websites Creates images and other graphical elements in accordance with branding standards and guidelines Develops concepts for applications, websites, demos, and online marketing pieces with input from core team before development begins. Conducts research on existing and emerging delivery technologies and products for purposes of delivering a richer client experience Participates in development of Web Design processes and procedures and documentation of current branding and site specifications.
