Creative Web Designer with HTML, Javascript, Cold Fusion, Actionscript

Modis is looking for a creative Web Designer for a 2+ month contract in Cranston, RI and Boston, MA.  This individual will be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of a web application. Responsibilities Include: • Interacting closely with portal stakeholders to produce web page/user interface designs and that will be attractive to the target user, has a logical navigation system and has all the features required. • Create and develop updated content to pass to technical team for implementation. • Create page mock ups and user-flow storyboards and logical maps for review and sign off prior to development. • Optimize designs for customer usability.Technical Knowledge: • Requires a combination of graphic design skills and technical knowledge of web development. • A combination of codes, such as hypertext mark-up language (HTML), JavaScript, Actionscript, Cold Fusion, Java, Perl and Flash, or using code-generating programs, such as Dreamweaver • Knowledge of graphic design packages such as Fireworks or Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images. • The ability to create cascading style sheets (CSS), e-commerce and server side technologies, such as PHP and Perl, and Internet security are also important.Qualified and interested candidates...
