Credit Card Compliance and Risk Analyst

 

Reports to Executive Vice President

 

 

Brief Description

The Analyst will work in tandem with the company’s compliance team to monitor and manage the company’s credit card program and vendors.  They will be responsible for performing various complex activities related to business analysis and/or modeling.

 

Responsibilities:

They will be primarily responsible for: Providing analytical support on risk management initiatives and other business strategies to ensure company goals are met; Segmenting and monitoring the portfolio regarding activation, usage, delinquency, losses and overall profitability and performance and making recommendations to management based on those trends; Monitoring targeted marketing strategies for the Credit Card portfolio with an increased emphasis on maximizing profits and/or asset growth and minimizing credit and/or operating losses and other risk exposures. Assisting with the conduct of operational reviews of credit card operation vendor(s) against regulatory audit/compliance standards. Preparing detailed reports and analyses of audit/compliance findings including quarterly self-assessments and corrective action worksheets. Participating in the development of corrective action plans for known control issues, and review of vendor processes to ensure compliance with the regulatory guidelines and applicable laws. Developing more complex programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling using advanced analytical techniques with the best available information.Assisting the Compliance Officers with Examiners from Regulatory Agencies in reviewing the UTB Credit Card program and Vendor Oversight.

 

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience plus 2-4 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, or Banking/Financial Services. Experience in consumer lending a plus but not required. Knowledgeable in regulatory guidelines and laws applicable to consumer lending. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Good problem recognition and resolution skills. Self directed and self motivated.
