Job description:Independently prepares timely, high quality analytical work used in the credit approval process. Provides complete offerings for standard lending situations that analyze financial data, assess industry and accounting issues and evaluate loan structure to determine the creditworthiness and financial condition of borrowers. Evaluates the thoroughness of collateral valuations consistent with bank standards. Independently determines the information necessary to analyze the financial strength of borrowers to assess creditworthiness and independently gathers such information. Monitors credit quality of assigned portfolios by reviewing various system reports and evaluation tools insuring timely administration within PNC policy. Prepares timely periodic credit reviews and validates and supports risk ratings for each loan and insures changes are made in a timely fashion. Approves the extension of credit in standard lending situations within prescribed approval authorities. Structures, in conjunction with the relationship manager, credit facilities for complex clients. Validates and supports risk rating for each obligator and facility. Insures changes made in a timely fashion.Required Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in either finance or accounting.Preferred Educational Qualifications : MBA, CPA, CFA or other advanced degree preferred.Required Experience & Skills:Participation in lending or credit activities for a period of six to eight years. Depending on assigned line of business, relevant industry experience may be required. Highly advanced credit analysis skills. Thorough knowledge of risk management, credit policy and credit administration procedures. Computer literacy. Strong teamwork and written and verbal communication skills. Must be self-motivated and proficient in time management skills. Ability to manage complex credit requests from origination to decision in a timely fashion, while adhering to bank credit policies and risk management guidelines.
