Job Description Manage a group of Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers responsible for administering a commercial loan portfolio specializing in new automobile dealerships in Pittsburgh, Louisville, and Erie. Assign and direct work, act as a liaison with credit and management (renewing and approving credits, portfolio performance and monitoring, credit administration, etc). Develop relationships with clients and manage a group of professionals dedicated to client and prospect calling. Client and prospect calling critically important. Ensures that assigned groups meet profitability goals by: Developing overall marketing strategies and goals. Ensuring that subordinate marketing plans are developed and executed. Developing and servicing significant client relationships within the assigned market area(s). Ensuring group members develop, maintain and apply product knowledge to facilitate cross-selling goals. Directs activities of assigned group members by: Establishing challenging profitability targets for each group. Monitoring the effectiveness of how group-marketing plans are implemented. Developing accomplishment/career plans for staff based on achievement, performance and business knowledge. Providing job performance feedback through both formal and informal evaluations. Supervises the handling of client and prospect credit requests as related to credit-worthiness of applicant by reviewing appropriate loan structure, ensuring required documentation is obtained and ensuring loans are in conformity with terms of approval. Ensures loans are in compliance with state and federal regulations by monitoring the timely assignment of loan risk ratings and ensuring maintenance of complete and accurate file information, financial analysis memos and specific charge-off, non-accrual and loan loss allocation recommendations. Supports client inquiries by directly servicing assigned client account and supervising overall servicing of department portfolios. Supervises completion of account administration and related reporting activities by delegating responsibilities among staff. Keeps management fully and promptly informed by communicating all relevant developments, problems and/or progress relating to the group.Actively encourages support/teamwork, relationships across Dealer Finance, related line functions and operations staff functions to promote increased levels of products/service sales, as well as client service. Supports department/market goals by communicating knowledge of corporate mission, values and strategic direction in order to facilitate staff understanding of how Dealer Finance objectives support overall corporate-wide objectives. Demonstrates self-motivation by actively managing department activities and taking more responsibility in the planning and support of Line of Business activities.Requirements A minimum of 8 years credit/lending experience; prior supervisory experience a plus. Bachelors degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting. Completion of formal credit training program. Strong commercial credit skills and in-depth cash flow analysis skills. Strong new business development, marketing and client relationship skills. Dealer floorplan experience a plus. Highest level of credit and product knowledge as well as effective communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple sales groups within Dealer Finance.
