Experience with End user interaction Experience with Systems Design processes (UML) Experience in Systems Integration Experience in Investment Banking especially Risk Control business knowledge is desirable, interest in those fields essential Experience Knowledge of Energy or Securities Lending markets required. Experience of at least one OO method (ideally UML) is essential Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and development tools like Rational ClearCase and Rose are an advantage Knowledge of German beneficial The Market Risk Control (MRC) area is responsible for controlling the risk exposure that UBS has to market movements. Within Control IT, Market Risk IT (MRIT) is responsible for delivering and maintaining business critical applications for MRC globally. Specifically, MR IT provides systems that support the end-to-end collection of trade and position level data from front office systems through to the production of daily VaR (Value At Risk) reports for both traders and MRC up to board level. To maintain and improve the existing service provided to MRC, MR IT has a number of projects underway and a number of future projects/programmes planned.Market Risk IT is seeking a Senior Database Developer capable of dealing all database-related technical aspects of Market Risk software development projects (architecture, design, prototyping, implementation and support). The role includes participation in all areas of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis through to testing and implementation. Further working knowledge financial experience is also desired, e.g. securities, derivatives or commodities.
