Deposit Operations Representative

Basic Function:  Responsible for the maintenance, service and support of all Retail Banking operations and systems functions for the Bank.

 

Primary Duties:

Provide branch and customer support for all retail bank products and services and support for all deposit operations systems.

 

Serve as the secondary back-up for personal online banking and bill payment support.  Provide support for online banking cash management services.

 

Handle ATM balancing for terminals and network.

 

Process VISA chargebacks to include disputes and forgeries/fraud.

 

Handle return item and exception processing.

 

Secondary Duties:

Support all functions in the department to include balancing general ledger accounts, handling deposit chargebacks, subpoenas and teller and deposit adjustments.

 

Handle special projects.

 

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

 
Experience:  Two to three years of previous banking experience.

 

Academic:  High School Diploma Required.  Associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

 

Equipment/Software: Computer, keyboard, calculator, fax machine and photocopier.  Requires computer skills in and use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word and Excel.  Must be able to write and use Excel spreadsheets. 

 

Personal:  Ideal candidate should possess excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task.  Candidate should have good written communication skills.  Spelling skills are a necessity.  Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required for position.
