Deposit Operations Specialist

Job Summary

This position will support multiple departments in an operational role, by providing superior quality service and support with a positive banking experience for customers and other bank employees. The ideal candidate must be able to handle multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment, accurately and timely.

 

Assist in daily operations to ensure proper function and delivery of our treasury management solutions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with daily/weekly/monthly operations for all services to include:

Nonpost (checks, deposits, ACH, wires, GL's)

Overdrafts/Non Sufficient Funds

Return Deposited Items

Cash Positioning

Internal Account Reconciliation

Wire Transfer

ACH Returns, Rejects, and Reclamations

ARP/Positive Pay Exceptions

ATM

OFAC, Fraud, & BSA

Bill Payment Reconciliation

Sweep Reconciliation

Collection Items

Accounts Payable

Reports

Notices

 

Communicate effectively with the deposit operations manager and other areas of the bank to resolve any issues.

Manage and exceed client and business partner expectations.

Adhere to all bank policies and procedures.

Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.

Attend meetings and training as required to continue development and to enhance knowledge of bank products, processes and technologies.

Provide support to internal and external clients as required.

Serve as a backup to the branch staff including teller and new accounts.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

1 year bank deposit operations and customer service experience/knowledge to include duties and responsibilities listed above

Time management and organizational skills

Verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Ability to adapt to a changing environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

5 years bank deposit operations experience/knowledge to include duties and responsibilities listed above

Proficient in various desktop and internet based applications including Microsoft Office and online banking platforms

Experience with FedLine

Experience with Silverlake core processing system

Treasury Management/Cash Management services knowledge
