Derivatives Administrator

In May 2006, the Executive Committee of UBS Global Asset Management tasked the IT and Operations functions to establish improved Derivatives processing capability. Since this time, there has been significant progress in achieving this aim through the Derivatives program, a joint initiative which is split into four component parts:1.) Sophis Value for Operations (implementation of the strategic post-trade platform) 2.) JPM Outsourcing (valuation and collateral management outsourced services) 3.) Run-the-Bank (tactical change initiatives) 4.) Project Apollo (Front Office Portfolio Management in Zurich, using Sophis Value)The Derivatives Admin team in Operations was established as a completely new function in the summer of 2006 and has grown from an initial 4 to more than 20 staff in four locations. This team covers the confirmation, payment and collateral management aspects of Exchange-Traded and Over-The-Counter derivative instruments. We are now seeking a Derivative Administrator who will be responsible for all aspects relating to Derivative Administration on a daily basis from an Operations perspective. Key responsibilities:Monitoring of account set-up for accuracy in multiple accounting systems.The timely confirmation of trade details for all over-the-counter transactions with their associated counterparty's.Ensure all payments are agreed with counterparty's in an effective manner, resolving all Effectively administer the collateral requirements associated to holding over-the-counter instruments with counterparty's.Timely resolution of cash exceptions, ensuring common themes are eradicated by proposing solutions to avoid repeats.Reconcile both over-the-counter and collateral positions with counterparty's ensuring all disputes are resolved in a timely manner.Maintain detailed process and procedure manuals within the teamSupport the various business areas with all derivative questions when asked upon We can offer a stimulating working environment, a culture of mutual respect and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
