• Develop and maintain infrastructure technology strategy and target architectures for Capital One Enterprise Data Centers with game changing technologies and processes meeting IT imperatives. Optimize them to improve business continuity meeting business requirements.
• Work with business and technology leaders to establish and implement the overall technology direction for infrastructure components such as platforms, storage, and networks.
• Partner with Enterprise Technology Operations, IT Risk Office and other IT divisions to establish appropriate infrastructure technology standards and roadmaps to support the overall technology direction.
• Develop appropriate implementation patterns to optimize the infrastructure, improve resiliency, improve time to market and simplify governance
• Provide focused consulting services to help project teams develop solutions that are consistent with the overall technology direction of the company
• Stay current with the industry best practices and trends in the industry and influence target architecture and standards refreshes.
• Play a significant leadership role in evangelizing the infrastructure technology target architectures and methodologies across the organization
• Directly influence senior management to invest in construction and maintenance of target architectures

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT required

Preferred:
• 15+ years of IT experience in the field of Enterprise Infrastructure and Data Center architecture in fortune 500 companies with heterogeneous platform and storage technologies
• Demonstrated experience in initiating and guiding large scale data center architecture projects
• Deep understanding of current state platform technologies and trends in infrastructure architectures
• Extensive experience in developing 3-5 year technology strategies and roadmaps
• Extensive experience in:
o Computing platform technologies and architectures
o Enterprise server virtualization and consolidation
o Storage technologies and networking
o Data center provisioning, management, and monitoring technologies
o Platform security technologies and architectures
• Working knowledge in networking technologies
• Intimate knowledge and experience with developing architectures meeting business continuity and disaster recovery requirements
• Familiarity in data architect concepts - information management, database structures, database design, and data movement
• Strong process orientation with demonstrated experience in ITIL and PMI methodologies
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Strong influencing and internal consulting skills
• Advanced Degree - MBA or MS preferred
