Director Recovery

Director Recovery Direct and provide leadership to a team of management level direct reports in Houston and approximately 200 indirect reports. Evaluate performance and recommended actions. Ensure adherence to internal performance standards; communicate policies and procedures to ensure a quality, motivated staff. Define and implement development goals for assigned direct reports. Drive continuous employee development to ensure uninterrupted growth of the department.Lead and direct the activities of the department and associated functions. Develop the department’s operating plans, review and analyze statistical data and adapt processes or systems to ensure performance standards are consistent with target goals.Interface with Risk Management, Check Processing, and Informatoin Technology along with other required departments for review and analysis of collection needs and support required for those needs. Provide direction and drive change to ensure department goals are realized.Develop, implement and monitor department budgets and short/long term department plans. Implement and monitor goals/objectives for assigned areas. Develop short and long range business strategy for the department including distribution, pricing and promotional strategy. Participate in development of alternative collection products. Execute programs in support of company mission. Drive continuous process and productivity improvement.Ensure department's adherence to FDCPA & FCRA, and drive continuous improvement efforts. Ensure high performance collection activities. Responsible for allocating resources and prioritizing projects. Projects revenue goals and monitors/directs activities for agent collected dollars.Analyze collection rates to oversee development of product proposals, pricing strategies and guidelines for pricing standards for sale of new accounts.Candidate Requirements: Strong track record in leadership development to strengthen the collection team(s) management, and provide succession potential within 1-2 years to sustain continued growth and improve operational proficiency.Prefer 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a heavy collections environment, prior supervisory experience, preferably in a collections environment or high volume call center.Demonstrated experience in reducing turnover and motivating collection employees.Ability to lead, articulate vision, and interpret customer needs.Proven performance in budget management, forecasting, performance management, and consumer complaint prevention.Experienced in people development, coaching, counseling, and dealing with employee relations issues.Ability to implement and analyze collection and call center metrics, collection and customer service techniques.Analytical ability and knowledge/understanding of Excel spreadsheets (both reading as well as creating them) with the ability to identify trends and take proactive measures to change direction as necessary.Preferred candidate will have 3rd party collection agency upper management experience.4 year college degree preferred, extensive collection management experience could offset.
