Director of ALM Modeling and Analysis

This position is responsible for providing asset/liability management analysis and consulting services to credit unions that subscribe to Southwest Corporate Investment Services’ A/LM Service or the Advisory Service.  Such asset/liability analysis involves assessing credit unions’ balance sheet risk inclusive of interest rate risk through the utilization of analytical models owned by or licensed to SCIS.  The position works independently and is accountable in the following primary functions:  1)  direct supervision of A/LM staff in all analysis and consulting functions; 2) training and mentoring of staff; 3) generating client analyses; 4) making presentations to credit union clients and conducting A/LM seminars; 5) achieving departmental and personal goals;  6)  keeping abreast of changes in the interest rate risk modeling and A/LM fields; 7) up-dating SCIS’ in-house A/LM model and keeping abreast of up-grades and changes to the BancWare model; 8) working closely with credit union client management staff; 9) working with all levels of management of SCIS and Southwest Corporate FCU; and 10) performing supervision administrative duties as applicable.

 

The qualified candidate should have 10 to 15 years experience both in the A/LM modeling field and in direct management experience.  The A/LM modeling and analysis experience must include utilizing a comprehensive interest rate risk model (i.e., BancWare or QRM) in a financial institution environment; strong organizational and analytical skills a must; proficient in Excel and Word; good written and oral communication skills a must; strong customer service/client relation skills a plus.  B.B.A. – Finance required, and M.B.A. and/or C.F.A. preferred.
