Director of Customer Service



The Director of Customer Service is a senior management position with primary responsibility for providing customer service support to ASA's loan origination customers:  schools, lenders, servicers and borrowers. The Director of Customer Service is responsible for developing operating plans to support the corporation’s strategic goals. This position works in close collaboration with the Business Development area of ASA to ensure retention and growth of ASA's customer base.

 

Qualifications:10+ years experience in a senior management role required; experience in higher education financing or financial services desirable.  Experience as an accomplished manager of significant staff size; excellent mentoring, coaching and staff development skills.  Strong customer service orientation and commitment to superior quality standards.Superior written and verbal communication skills; the ability to effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external clients.  Strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.  Experience developing and managing a significant operating budget.  Sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.  Bachelor's degree required.  Master's or equivalent work experience preferred.
