COMPANY BACKGROUND: A rapidly growing full service investment banking firm with plans

to substantially grow the business during this decade and beyond within multiple market segments. To achieve and support such growth, increased deal flow and its many investment banking professionals, our client requires a very professional, innovative and capable market research leader.

 

 

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:   Manage growth and meet the higher expectations of the Company’s external and internal clients.  Demonstrated leadership in market research and creativity within a team environment will be key components of this position. Ideal candidate will further possess strong execution skills, management experience and an understanding of international business.

 

 

MAJOR ISSUES AND GOALS:

 

·  Implement a professional research process and procedures.  Conduct in depth market research to support organic growth in accordance with Company’s strategic plans. Develop annual operating plans that support company’s objectives and put necessary disciplines in place to accomplish these goals.

 

·  Support internal clients. Manage, lead and train department personnel that include interns and analysts.

 

·  Manage outside and internal proprietary databases. Identify new external sources of prospective client information and additional uses for internal database information.

 

·  Write periodic white papers on a variety of industries that are researched to showcase and further promote Company’s valued added proposition.

 

·  Provide quarterly input for the website including comprehensive updates on the state of M&A markets and updates on research results to senior management and at team meetings as required.

 

 

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

 

·  Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with demonstrable hands on market research responsibility. Proven success leading research in a rapid growth entrepreneurial business environment and ability to review, assess, and present relevant data is a must.

 

·  Expertise using Excel, PowerPoint and Word for report and presentation development. Have proven success searching the worldwide web. Should be proficient with other appropriate subscription based market research tools and been a user of various domestic and international business search databases. Experience with Customer Relation Management systems.

 

·  In support of its investment banking professionals located around the world, the successful candidate must have a complete understanding of how to uncover prospective global clients and match prospective global financial and strategic buyers to its active clients.

 

·  Must possess the skills to function in an entrepreneurial culture, perform duties and complete tasks with minimal supervision. This hands-on high-energy leader should be well organized, detail oriented and able to multi task. The ability to communicate and interface with all levels of the company, specifically its internal clients is required.

 

·  Candidate should be a strategic thinker, skilled in management with ability to translate strategies to action items. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

·  Bachelor’s degree required, MBA beneficial.

 

 

COMPENSATION RANGE:  Compensation is commensurate with historical earnings,

  plus bonus opportunity based on company performance.
