Director of Marketing

Smart Payment Solutions, a business unit of Solveras Payment Systems, a fast-growing independent sales and marketing organization for electronic payment processing services, is seeking a Director of Marketing to help accelerate the growth of the company.

Smart Payment Solutions specializes in ACH Processing and Check Recovery Services. Our clients run the gamut from retailers, daycare centers, churches, health clubs, utility companies, insurance agencies, and more. Almost any business that takes payments can be a client. Solveras’ primary products and services include equipment, software and processing support for MasterCard®, VISA®, American Express®, and Discover® credit card transactions, debit card processing, electronic check services, and electronic gift cards.

As we embark on a plan to market to key segments and channels, we seek an exceptional individual to lead our efforts. Responsibilities will include providing strategic direction for our marketing efforts, creating and implementing a marketing plan, driving leads to our sales team, and analyzing data generated from all marketing efforts. Specific tasks will include developing collateral targeted at specific markets or channels, developing direct response campaigns (mail and web), writing articles to be placed in industry publications, directing the company efforts at trade shows, managing our web advertising campaigns, and managing the content on the company website. Over time you will also be involved in developing new service offerings and identifying new market opportunities. On day one, this is a hands-on role. Over time, you may have direct reports. We are a small company, and so you will have an amazing opportunity to make a big impact on the company’s growth.

Our ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of achievement in a similar setting. You must be a fast study and willing to work hard to learn about our industry quickly. Superior writing skills are essential. We will look for energy, achievement, brainpower, ambition, collaborative style, and a self-starting can-do attitude. College degree is required, and an MBA or advanced marketing degree is a major plus.
