Energy Banker--Houston, Texas

Energy Finance Team of a Global Specialty Finance Company is looking to add an Energy Senior Banker to its expanding North American Originations Group in Houston, Texas

The position will report directly to SVP & GM of Energy Finance. The Candidate should possess proven business developmental skills coupled with extensive experience in financing projects and businesses in the oil / gas industries. The target size transactions will range from $10 MM to $750 MM

Key Responsibilities:Generate deal flow and originate energy financings as Lead or Co-Lead Agent on financing opportunities ranging $10 MM to $750 MM
Manage key account relationships in the Energy Group and provide solution-selling approach for the breadth and depth of products offered by the Global Specialty Finance CompanyFollow up on energy financing leads generated from various operating divisions of the global industrial parent company. The Candidate will be responsible for generating and maintaining relationships with Lead Agent banks for the purpose of club finance or to participate in financings for key account relationships


Qualifications: Successful Candidate should have 5 –10 years of proven origination and structuring experience and business development skills in the oil & gas industry and project finance sector at a commercial bank or financial institutionThe Candidate should have a well-established network of direct relationships with industry executives, private equity sponsors, companies, investment banks and other third party intermediaries within the oil & gas industry and project finance sector in the USSelf-starter requiring minimum supervision and the proven ability to achieve annual new business generation goals Demonstrated ability to work in coordination with loan underwriting and loan syndications groups in order to successfully deliver and close on highly structured transactions in the oil & gas industries and project finance sector. Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferredExcellent communications & interpersonal skills required. MS Office skills required


Compensation:

Base Salary of approximately $130,000- $150,000 and Bonus target of 100%, (higher bonus levels are achievable)
