Error Control Clerk

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 pm to finish, with flexibility of a 2 hours start due to department volumes. Rotating Saturdays may be necessaryResponsibilities: This position blends responsibilities of the proof error control reconcilement operator/proof encoding operator with other item processing functions such as reconcilement, setup, sorter operations, ATM/BTM processing, etc. Accurately and efficiently corrects errors and balances accounts for a variety of checks and other bank documents. All transactions must be in balance with no unresolved differences. Must be able to understand all types of bank documents and the differences between credits and debits. Work environment has strict processing deadlines and quality and productivity goals. The amount of time spent on any one function will vary based on business need. Will accurately and efficiently process transactions for all branches and departments. Assist in meeting nightly deadlines while maintaining high quality work. Work as part of a team to achieve department goals pertaining to deadlines, productivity and quality. Must be able to complete repetitive tasks for entire shift. Must be able to shift from one task to another as neededQualificationsRequirements: High School diploma or GED required. Must be able to operate computers and standard office equipment such as a PC, 10-key, etc. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and lift check trays of approximately 20 pounds. Banking experience is preferred.
